HUONVILLE

Is a typical Australian Town of about 3000 + people,
(ABOUT 10-000 total IN THE HUON) on the banks of the Great Huon river, with barbecue areas, café, boat trips, plus some very interesting wood carvings.

The bridge crosses here, and is the main access to Southern Tasmania, Forests, Fishing, Walks, Sea & secluded sandy Beaches, ( if others are on it you move to another one nearby, most with barbecue areas) and it has two golf courses one within 5 across the main road from the site, and the other about ten minutes from the town centre, by car.

The town as you can see from the photo, does not have the charm of most country towns, but does have, 4 National stores in grocery-building-farming-videos etc. plus 4 smaller grocery stores, 3 service stations, and about 12 restaurants or take away’s, Pub, Tote etc.

2 Doctor surgeries,( each has at least 3 doctors ) a dental clinic, plus craft and home furnishing shops.
Schools are within the town and walking distance from the site, of a high standard, plus a private school is within the Huon, also sportpark and swimming pool. Gyms and Indoor sport centre within minutes from town.

FRANKLIN

There is a very good Home ELDERCARE in Franklin, for the temporary disabled or permanent residents, 5 minutes away by car, this is an old Tasmania town with many interesting buildings, and on the banks of the BEAUTIFUL HUON a barbecue area, and many small eateries, from WOOD PIZZA AND FRESH FISH ETC, and two pubs

HUONVILLE TOWN

The one thing it certainly does not have is charm, in the buildings, the main road into town does have a selection of interesting typical Australian houses.

The town is a busy town as it is the access all other towns in the area, Cygnet-Franklin-Geeveston- Ranelagh-Dover maximum 25 minutes away, so It is while one of the busiest roads in Tasmania, it is not under to much pressure by mainland standards a by-pass is mooted in the future, around the Town centre, it makes up for being on the banks of the HUON RIVER again with barbecue-play areas-wood carvings( a must see in the HUON)

HUONVILLE nestles in a GREEN VALLEY the and the area is Surrounded by treed mountain views, with SLEEPING BEAUTY dominating the skyline ,wether she has the sun or a sprinkle of snow on her face she always looks lovely, and all around are fruit trees, of Apple- Cherry, with Apricots and soft fruits all grown nearby, that are as good as the best anywhere in the world, and because we have seasons, full of flavour unlike main land produce, full of water, we are the only state accepted by the Japanese for our disease free fruit.

We also have the WORLDS cleanest sweetest air, so if you have complaints like Asthma etc, you should find great benefits, on arrival.

ORCHARD GARDEN ESTATES

We are at the beginning of the town boundary, where the 60km. Starts on the right, the entrance has Sandstone brick walls with sandstone name ORCHARD AVENUE set in them, this goes right down to the Apples trees at the end of the road, on the right hand and the front road access, are a variety of evergreens, shrubs and a well spaced row of pencil pines will go its full length which will quite dramatic in a few more years,( the only tall trees allowed on the site see caveats and are so spaced to be unobtrusive to your views) with a series of closes off ORCHARD AVENUE all with a sand stone front wall name plates like PEAR TREE-PLUM TREE-CHERRY TREE CLOSES, defining your front area, ( Not necessary boundary wall) and a concrete walk down one side and a grass verge on the other.

Each house will have a valley view, and retain it because of caveats, there will be no cedar or aluminium or portables built next door to you lowering the value of your cherished property, nor will vehicles like log trucks or large commercials be stored on site (a caravan or boat accepted)
